NDIS Hero Trudi Lost Everything– Let’s Help Her Rebuild
Spende geschützt
Meet Tudi
Trudi is an NDIS support worker, a mother, a wife, and a quiet local hero who never expects anything in return. She shows up, every single day, for the people who rely on her care.
But now, she needs us.
What Happend
During the recent devastating floods, while many were seeking safety, Trudi left home at 5:15 AM in Kings Creek to reach vulnerable NDIS participants depending on her support.
On the way, rising floodwaters engulfed her Ford Ranger. Water surged past her chest. The car’s electronics failed, and she was trapped inside.
With nothing but raw courage, Trudi kicked the car door open and escaped, saving her life — all while simply trying to do her job and help others.
What She Lost
This isn’t the first time tragedy struck.
Trudi and her family’s oyster farm was destroyed by floods in 2021, and now again in 2025. It was their livelihood, their future. Gone.
Her husband has had to take a job in the mines to support the family, now living away from home. Their life has been turned upside down — again.
But She Keeps Showing Up
Despite losing everything (twice), Trudi continues to care for others.
She hasn’t stopped working. She hasn’t stopped giving.
She never asked for help — but she deserves it.
How You Can Help
We’re raising funds to help Trudi:
- Replace her car so she can continue working
- Cover living costs
- Rebuild her family’s life
This isn’t a handout. It’s a hand up. Let’s surround Trudi with the same support she’s given to so many.
Every donation counts. Every share makes a difference.
Whether you give $5 or $500, your support helps a real person who’s risked everything to help others.
“Trudi’s the kind of hero who shows up for others ALWAYS. Now it’s our turn to show up for her — because supporting someone like Trudi means supporting the very heart of our NDIS community.”
