Hello, my name is Tonya. I was a nurse for 17 years until January 17th of 2024 when my life drastically changed. My colon perforated and developed an abscess. During that time, I sustained seven abdominal surgeries and ended up with a temporary ileostomy.

I have been solely reliant on what I had in savings and family and friends. Unfortunately, it has come to a point in my life where it is if I should pay my bills or buy my medication that I need. My life has been turned upside down again due to my colon and complications associated with it, life shouldn't be this complicated you shouldn't have to be left with the decision of buying medicine and going to the Dr or having a roof, food, and necessary items for survival. I will be the 2% of people that will have problems with my colon even after everything I went through already. My near future will definitely consist of a permanent colostomy, I'm trying to fight this battle with everything I have until that day comes. Thank you so much for everything I really appreciate you guys this has been a rough road to travel currently was receiving IV antibiotics that I had been on now for 3 weeks. My health continues to deteriorate. I have spent several weeks in the hospital and several weeks receiving IV antibiotic treatment due to infections. I have spent thousands of dollars on medical treatment that I cannot afford, which has now put me in a really big financial situation.Looking into an autoimmune disease I have appointments with endocrinologist, rheumatologist, and nephrology hopefully start getting some answers soon Thank you everyone for your thoughts, prayers, and donation, everything is really appreciated as this journey continues ❤️ Unfortunately This is why I am reaching out for any type of help.
