$ 3050 ingezameld van
Hi, we are the Brinson family, and I am Scott. Earlier this month, my wife, Tina, was admitted to the hospital with severe abdominal swelling and pain. After some testing we found that her spleen was enlarged, splenomegaly. This prompted the doctors to do more rigorous testing and they found signs of Lymphoma. We are currently beginning to test and understand what kind, and how far along it has progressed.
**Update**
High-risk Follicular Lymphoma Stage 4
Chemotherapy Treatments Start on October 13th.
Currently, the expenses are expected to get out of hand pretty quickly on account of the treatments that may be needed. We were able to get some financial repreive through the hospital, which is discounting some of the tests, but further treatment could prove too expensive to afford on a limited income.
I am on disability myself with a rare condition called Meniere's Disease I am able to get medicare, but she can not, and she does not have medical insurance. We are not able to qualify for medicare for her based on her own income andcan not afford to be privatley insured.
We are asking, based on statistics my son has researched, for a $50,000 goal to cover care and travel costs for this first stretch of treatment as we learn more about my wife's condition. We are waiting on the first admission and emergency bill and have already had to pay out of pocket for testing and surgery. We expect it to be a substancial cost and are not prepared for that kind of burden, we are turning toward the wonderful community we live in, and the world for help. We understand though, that times are hard, and any little bit helps.
My wife, Tina, is an outgoing woman who loves her job, nature, God, and her family. She enjoys gardening, crafts, painting and renovation and spending time with her kids and grandkids. Her job allows her to enjoy all of these things and she gets to be outdoors. She has 3 adult sons who are all making there way in the world, and 2 grandsons who are the love of her life.
