Whitley has been hospitalized twice due to extreme dehydration, malnutrition, and relentless sickness that has left her physically and emotionally drained. Unable to eat or drink without becoming violently ill, she has had to rely on hospital care, IV treatments, and tube feedings to receive the nourishment her body needs. This difficult and ongoing health crisis has not only taken a toll on her well-being but has also kept her from returning to work, causing the family to lose a significant source of income at a time when medical bills are mounting.

 

The Southard family is doing everything they can to hold on, but the weight of these financial and emotional burdens is overwhelming. The costs of hospital stays, home care, and essential treatments continue to grow, leaving them in a situation they never could have prepared for. Despite the immense challenges, Whitley continues to fight with every ounce of strength she has to protect her baby, but they cannot make it through this on their own.
