In Loving Memory of Dr. Michael A. Melendrez

Our beloved father, Dr. Michael A. Melendrez passed unexpectedly, on March 12,2025 due to stage IV cancer. Though we thought we were going to have a few more years with him with this new diagnosis, we were all surprised to find out that once he left the hospital in Bellingham, Washington, and moved to hospice care, his health quickly declined, and we were left, unknowingly, with just a week to spend time with him. We had other plans, wanting to move him closer to California, where most of the Melendrez family is located, but quickly found out that his condition would not allow for him to be moved. A trip was planned by his children to spend time with him in Bellingham, with his favorite game of Yahtzee, his favorite See's candies, and other treats that he enjoyed, but sadly, his time came sooner than expected. Though we wanted to make new memories with him, unfortunately, God had other plans.

We miss our Dad so much. He has taught us a lot and has sacrificed a lot to take care of his family, always giving us the best he could. Now we would like to do our part to honor our Dad, making sure that we take care of any financial burdens that need to be cared for, along with having enough funds to have a celebration of his life with friends and family.

We plan to have our Dad buried in Rose Hills, in Whittier, California, with his mother, our Grandma Mary. We appreciate any contributions to help us during these trying times.
