Support the Little Free Pantry of Roswell

Hi! My name is Maya, and my husband Chris and I are the caretakers of the Little Free Pantry in Roswell, Georgia. We started this project as a hyperlocal kindness mission to help our food insecure neighbors and those facing homelessness in our community. Roswell is an amazing community, just 20 miles north of Atlanta. When the pandemic started, we began noticing more and more people right here in our city in need of help paying for basic necessities like food and housing. For my birthday earlier this year, I asked Chris to build an outdoor pantry that would belong to everyone. People could drop off unneeded food and toiletries, and those in need could stop by and pick up items, no questions asked. Word spread, and the pantry has been very busy! Many people stop throughout the day and night to pick up items that are so generously donated. We recently began purchasing fresh produce and bread from funds that have been donated. On Sundays, we take any overflow or large items that don’t fit in the pantry and set them out on tables for anyone to stop by and gather what they need. It has been such an honor to witness neighbors helping neighbors!

As we head into the summer months, we are collecting money to continue purchasing fresh produce and other items to sustain the pantry. With kids out of school, we expect there to be an increase in need.

We appreciate any donation big or small! Everything goes towards the cost of maintaining the pantry, purchasing supplies, and storing donations.
