Support the Children of Kristin Rosa Ross
Hello all. My name is Brian Weisman and I am the President of the Pembroke Pines Optimist Club. I am creating a GoFundMe for the children of Kristin Rosa Ross: Kaylee Rose (8 years old) and Mariah Lynn (2 years old).
Kristin Rosa Ross (Age 29) passed away suddenly on August 17th. She was an amazing daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, former PPO cheerleader and friend.
It is no understatement to say that PPO would not exist in its current form if not for the efforts and dedication of the Ross family. Kristin’s father, mother, brother, aunt, uncle, grandparents, stepmom, stepbrothers, and sisters have ALL grown up or had a major part of our PPO family. Kristin was a flag cheerleader at age 4 and cheered until she was 15 years old. Her dad Jim Ross is past President and current Vice President of our club, as well as the current President of the American Youth Football League (AYFL). He also grew up and played sports as a child at PPO. Her brothers Jimmy, Zack & RJ played sports at PPO. Her Mom Rosie, stepmom Kristi, and stepsister Sabrina all were a big part of cheerleading. Her Aunts Jenny & Ivette and Uncle Joey also grew up playing and coaching at PPO. Kristin’s Grandmother, Mama Ross, was a huge part of the PPO family, running the concession stand for every sport until she passed away in 2011. This family has been playing and volunteering in our PPO programs for decades.
Kristin leaves behind two beautiful daughters. Her oldest daughter, Kaylee, is currently playing travel soccer at PPO. Her youngest child, Mariah, isn’t far behind.
We are asking that instead of sending flowers or anything else, please donate to this GoFundMe which will be used for the children’s future needs. Bank accounts have been set up for both girls and these funds will go directly to them. Please keep this special PPO family in your prayers.
