UPDATE… we had a conference evaluation yesterday with Dr Hummel and Dr Hinn …Tehya has shown some small positive steps to getting better. However still struggling so it is one more week full dose of steroid … prednisone therapy…with doing a change of diet to Purina HA for a couple weeks with ID canned food as a backup…and fluids via camel back three times week at her local vet clinic.. with another check in neck Monday.
If the tremors get more severe or increase we are to return to her neurologist and if any changes occur we are to return asap to Dr Hummel…For now we watch her close give her lots of love and continue with positive thoughts and prayers.
Momny and I (Shyloh). Thank you all for your continued love, support, and prayers… please share my sissy Tehya’s story and again thank you all for everything
Hello, this is Shyloh and my mommy Karen (Kaz)… and this is all about my sissy Tehya… Most everyone remembers how ill she was four years ago and we finally learned she had an autoimmune disorder… She had done okay for over two years. However, recently, Tehya has had a rough time… She started with odd tremors/spasms and issues with eating and other things… Our regular vet decided to send her to a neurologist and she diagnosed her with idiopathic tremor disorder. Then he and our vet consulted together and decided she needed to see her internalist, Dr. Hummel…
Dr. Hummel was amazing and he found out what is going on after a couple more tests…
My sissy Tehya is now dealing with IBD, colitis, and gastric reflux. For now, she is on steroid therapy and over the next several weeks, she will be monitored to regulate the therapy and then determine a good diet for her.
Dr. Hummel and Dr. Dan explained it is all intertwined and connected with her autoimmune disorder … so she will be monitored and will have follow-up tests in the near future..
For now, it’s rest and quality time with me and mommy.
So, we are reaching out to let all our family and friends know about her new journey and we appreciate all prayers, support, and love you send her and us. Thank you so much, Shyloh, Tehya, and mommy.
