Support Tammy's Fight to Keep Her Family Together

Hi everybody,

I am fundraising to help a dear friend and her family. They mean a lot to me & I need to do whatever I can for them.

My friends name is Tammy and she is the grandmother of 3 beautiful children Audrey, Kairo, & Kailynn in which she has custady of. Her life was thrust into turmoil nearly 4 years ago when she overnight took on custody. Since then, her life has been a whirlwind of struggle, roadblocks, and heartache, but to her the rewards are so much greater. The things she has gone through may have taken out the average person, but not her. Court cases, CPS, X husbands, deadbeat dads, financial issues, counselors, lawyers, and the list goes on, but worst of all is her ungrateful daughter. Instead of being grateful and praising her efforts to raise her kids and keep the family together, she is doing everything to undermine her efforts.

This brings me to my efforts of fundraising. Although Tammy is a successful professional, being an RN for nearly 40 years, she is still a single grandmother, struggles to keep a full-time job, and still enriches the lives of 3 small children. It is no easy task!!! She took a real body blow when the state took away her aid for child support and daycare assistance. Not only that, but they are also making her pay back all the moneys given her. That is devastating for them and could cave in all her hard work.

So, what happened is that the daughter was living on her own, and things seemed to be going well, but behind the scenes, things were crumbling down fast. On one winter day, she was dropped off at her doorstep. Now, the rules for getting financial assistance are that the daughter can not live with her & the children. So what does a mother do? Bring in her child with the agreement this is transitory. Needless to say, days turned to weeks & months. Now she is a squatter with squatters rights. She is also creating a lot of chaos in the household. Internal underminement ensues. Hence, funds are removed. I would also like to say that I do understand that addiction is a tricky thing and there are underlying mental health issues that are untreated as well, but I do pray for her struggles & recovery.

I can't imagine how I would handle this situation or how I would cope. So please please please find it in your heart to help Tammy and my littles in their efforts. It is a great cause and will be rewarded with our prayers and thanks to all your generousity. When this is all said and done it will definitely be paid forward. Thank you so much
