I will travel over 12,500 miles across the US from Pennsylvania all the way to Anchorage, Alaska (and back) in my lil Red Honda Fit, packed to the brim with tools, tips, techniques and insights to share with survivors to help them get their lives back on track. The need is huge!

Why this program? Why now?
60% of adults report experiencing abuse or other difficult family trauma during childhood
People who have experienced trauma are:
15 times more likely to attempt suicide
4 times more likely to become an alcoholic
3 times more likely to experience depression
2 times more likely to have a serious financial problem
And for me it's personal: I am one of the 1 in 4 women who are survivors of childhood sexual trauma, though that number may be as high as 40% because often the abuse was not reported.
After attending the Haven Retreat for female survivors of childhood trauma October 2018, I realized how huge the need is for survivors to be able to shift their story to get their lives back and move forward from past trauma into the current reality of how strong, resilient, worthy and whole they are today.
I am literally getting in my car and "steering my story” from Pennsylvania all the way to Anchorage Alaska while serving others to do the same through offering a healing from trauma Interactive Intensive workshop for anyone who needs it for free or reduced cost.
Your donation will provide these workshops to serve survivors to recover to steer their story from lack of self-worth to realizing their full value, stepping into their skill sets, living with more self confidence and navigating life with more empowerment and ease.

May 4: Allentown, PA Glory House (survivors of sex trafficking)
May 11: Allentown, PA Work Force Teen Entrepreneur program
May 15: Asheville, NC Steadfast House (female homeless veterans)
May 16: Asheville, NC Veterans Restoration Quarters (veterans program)
June 1 - 7: Grand Rapids, MI (location TBD)
June 8 - 10 Chicago, IL (venue TBD)
June 12: Charles City, IA (venue TBD)
June 17 to 20: Denver, CO (venue TBD, CCH potential)
June 21: Denver, CO (Connects Workspace)
July 1: Missoula, MT BASE
July 16 to 22: Skagit Valley, WA (venue TBD)
July 28 to August 27: Alaska including Anchorage, Bethel, Soldatna
September 1: Salt Spring Island, BC

Why am I so passionate and driven to share “Steer Your Story: Take control and navigate life with more empowerment and ease”?
As a survivor of childhood trauma I spent years telling myself a story that simply wasn’t true. A story of “not good enough.” This story kept me in a cycle of overachieving, co-dependent relationships, mindless busyness, and anorexia.
Today, thanks to using the tools and techniques offered in Steer Your Story I feel more empowered than ever.
I've created a life that is fulfilling and feels like an adventure:
-from selling my home and possessions to create and facilitate a volunteer literacy project donating programs for 33,000 students and training 800+ teachers in Belize.
-to performing and presenting across the US and 20+ countries over 5 continents
-to working across cultures and with marginalized populations
-to being a finalist in TED Talks talent search
- and today, I work at the World Bank as a Storytelling Consultant.
I am living my purpose and passion every day. And I want others to be able to live their truth too: To shed the old story of their trauma and become the brilliance of who they are today.
