Support Skylar's Nursing Mission in Mexico

Skylar is going to study abroad in Chiapas, Mexico and she needs your help!

As she finishes her last semester of nursing school at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Skylar applied to study abroad to help others in a less fortunate community in Mexico. The students will be working with the women and children of Chiapas, promoting health and wellness at the local farmers' markets and small clinics, and working with young girls to promote physical activity. The program also teaches students about the culture, healthcare system, and natural health remedies of Mexico that are different from the US.

25 students applied and 10 students were chosen!!! We are so excited for her and proud of her accomplishments and grades, but mostly of her desire to love and help others. I'm starting this fundraiser for her because Skylar rarely asks anyone for anything. She has worked and saved money since she was 16, volunteers, and spends most of her time in class or the library but unfortunately doesn't have the funds to pay for the trip.

So of course, I am asking on her behalf because SHE DESERVES THIS!

When I asked her what she was excited for, her reply was, "I am most excited to extend my heart for nursing internationally and to serve God with my hands in a place that does not have the same access to healthcare as us... and eating authentic tacos!" ;)
