Hey there, my name is Scout Elder (though you might remember me as Alex). Thanks for taking the time to read my story!

I‘ve wanted top surgery more than anything since I came out 13 years ago. I’ve faced countless setbacks over the years, and am over the moon to say that I am finally scheduled for surgery this fall! The relief that this surgery will provide is difficult to describe, but needless to say I am elated to be getting this weight off my chest (har har).

While I am fortunate to live in a state in which my insurance is required to cover the cost of surgery itself, I live paycheck to paycheck and will exhaust my savings making ends meet while I’m recovering and unable to work.

Every donation received will go towards indirect medical expenses not covered by my insurance provider, as well as living expenses like rent, utilities, and groceries while I recover. Any amount you are able to contribute to my top surgery fund is appreciated more than words can convey.
