Support Scholarships in Memory of Christopher Thomson

My brother, Christopher Thomson, passed in 2022. While it has been over two years, it is still so hard to believe he is no longer here. With that being said, I was determined to find a way to make sure his name is carried on.

We are hosting a golf outing for him on 10/4/25 at Norwich Golf Course. We are raising money for a the Christopher Thomson Scholarship, which was set up in his honor. The scholarship will be awarded to one Montville High school senior male athlete and one Montville High School senior female athlete who plan to attend a 2 or 4 year school post graduation.

Christopher was a 2006 graduate of Montville High school as well as part of the 2006 State Championship Baseball Team. Christopher was so passionate about baseball (sometimes a smidge too much with that temper of his), that this feels like the right way to honor him and keep his name from ever being forgotten.

While I had started this project by asking local businesses for donations, there have been multiple individuals who have asked to donate money toward the scholarship funds. The outpouring of love that has been received has been so overwhelming and so wonderful. I decided it would be easiest to set up a GoFundMe to raise any extra money people may want to contribute, or for those unable to attend the Golf Outing. Anything is so appreciated and will help ensure that year after year we can continue to honor my brother, my absolute best friend, who we all miss so much.

We plan to have these scholarships awarded for the first time in Spring of 2025 and hope to keep it going for years to come so that his legacy, and love of baseball carries on.
