Update 02/04/25:

As of yesterday, Sara has been hospitalized for the third time fighting off yet another infection. She will remain hospitalized until her upcoming surgery on Monday 2/10, and then for about another week for observation. While Sara recovers and also prepares for a third surgery, her paid leave will unfortunately run out- leaving her with unknown medical expenses while also dealing with the legal issues surrounding Josh's death. Now more than ever, we need to rally behind this wonderful woman who would do anything for anyone at the drop of a hat. Any and all help is so appreciated, and thank you so much to those who have already donated!

On Sunday 12/29, Sara's son Josh was tragically shot and killed in an unfortunate incident. On top of still healing from one of three total surgeries she will have over the next few months, she now has to plan, coordinate, and pay for services to lay her son to rest, all while being out of work. I can't even begin to fathom what Sara and her family are going through currently, and finances should be the last thing on their mind while they process, grieve, and navigate through this loss all while Sara recovers from and prepares for multiple surgeries.

Those close to the family know that Josh suffered from ongoing mental health issues throughout his life, but he was loved immensely nonetheless. We know he is in a peaceful place now, telling stories up in Heaven with Granny and Eugene, and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

To know Sara is to love her, and we all know that she is the first person to help ANYONE out- no questions asked. Any help is appreciated and will go directly to laying Josh to rest. Thank you so much.
