Support Sara and Her Girls: Rent Relief Needed

My name is Sara, and I’m looking to raise $2400, enough rent for August and September for me and my girls. If you don’t agree, just keep scrolling. If you know me and love me, thanks for coming to hear my story.

On July 1st I had (much needed for my health) surgery and took 4 weeks of no pay while out for that. While out and healing, I was finally able to break free from a domestic violence situation that I’ve been silently battling. I had tried multiple times to leave and this would finally be the one to stick. On my second day back to work after my surgery, I went to my manager and asked for understanding about my situation and on occasion the need to be able to leave for appointments. I was denied this and given no reason, so I walked out.

I have to say, I’m glad I did, too. My girls and I have needed this time to heal and process some real trauma we’ve been through. Time to go to counseling but also just try to reconnect and be normal again.

I am currently looking for another job. I was not able to pay August rent and am now facing eviction. The reason I decided to do this, is Natalie and Ella. After everything they have been through in the past 8 months, I want to make sure they don’t lose their home too.
