Hi everyone, my name is Jay Schmidt, life long friend, brother, and business partner of Ron Russitano at the Phantom of the Attic. On Friday night, September 15th, I received the heart breaking call from Ron’s father that he was currently in the hospital. Having spoken to Ron just hours prior, Ron collapsed in the middle of his store going into cardiac arrest. Paramedics were called immediately, but unfortunately in the time they took to arrive to the scene Ron when 18 minutes without oxygen to his brain. He received CPR and resuscitation; it breaks my heart to say he is being treated on life support, in a coma.

It’s with a heavy heart that I’m asking our community today to support and help out Ron and his family during this time. We are unsure of what the future hold at the moment, but only have positive thoughts.
