support Rob in his fight against cancer!!

Spende geschützt
As many of you know, Rob Vandermoss has been courageously battling cancer for the past two years. In April of 2019, Rob had a tumor removed from his colon and completed six months of chemotherapy. Rob was in remission for approximately six months when he found out the cancer had returned in his peritoneal lining. In June of 2020, Rob began alternating chemotherapy with no success until May of 2021. Up until March of 2021, there had been no cancerous growth and he was optimistic he would be a prime candidate for a Hipec Surgery out of Froedtert. Unfortunately, his May scan showed both cancerous growth as well as more fluid, ultimately taking the surgery option off the table. At this point, Rob was given the news that there were no further options within the traditional healthcare model and he is facing a terminal diagnosis within six months if no further treatment.

Rob is an active member of the racing community and has held various officer positions within the Fox River Racing Club, currently serving as Vice President. He is an advocate and mentor within the racing community and has spent years supporting his children, Taylor and Kylee, as they pursue their own racing passion at Wisconsin International Raceway.

Rob is a loving husband to Sandy, father to Taylor and Kylee, brother, uncle, friend, and soon-to-be Grandpa to Baby Vandermoss arriving in October. He has so much to live for and any treatment option that might give him more time is worth pursuing.

Currently, Rob is looking into pursuing an alternative treatment option in Mexico. Rob and Sandy have spent significant time researching appropriate options, many of which are successful but not yet FDA approved. These alternative treatment options are costly. Specifically, this treatment option would require Rob and Sandy to be in Mexico for approximately one month at a time, and result in the use of FMLA as well as unpaid time.

When his cancer returned in May of 2020, Rob was forced with an unplanned retirement at an earlier time than expected. Over the past two years, there have been significant costs in order to pursue all available treatment options. Now, the out of pocket costs for the alternative treatment option in Mexico are extremely high because this treatment is not covered by insurance.

Rob is a fighter. He has been so brave and strong. He has truly faced each diagnosis with a positive mindset. Now is our time to support him and join him in his fight. Please consider donating to help support Rob and his family as they navigate the financial realities of any remaining treatment options.
