Our family was dealt a devastating blow recently when our dear brother Rich, a husband and father of two, was diagnosed with ALS.

Funds are going to be needed for medication, supplements, physical therapy, and other ongoing expenses. If you can find it in your heart to donate to Rich’s continuing care it would be much appreciated, as insurance has been refusing to pay for a lot of the medical care related to his diagnosis. We would also be grateful if you can share this with other potential donors.

This progressive disease is already affecting Rich's mobility. While he’s still able to walk, we know the road ahead will come with increasing physical and financial challenges.

As part of our next steps, we hope to work with a naturopath to start specialized therapies, and introduce supportive supplements. These approaches aren’t typically covered by insurance.

As the disease progresses, we’ll also need to make our home safer and more accessible, purchase adaptive medical equipment, and eventually prepare for part-time caregiving.
