These past few years have been very hard for me. Sure, the pandemic was hard on all of us, but I got stuck with a squatter roommate who refused to pay his rent or share of bills for almost two years that it took to get him legally evicted and removed from my apartment. In the meantime, I had to rely on credit cards in order to keep my head above water and built up a sizeable debt. I realize that it’s no one else’s responsibility to clear this debt and it’s my ex-roommate who should pay, but let’s face it, he is never going to give me a dime.
In the meantime, I’m struggling day to day to make up for this debt, plus money I owe for taxes, and the slow season at work has not been kind to me.
I am hoping to find some kind, generous souls who may be better off than me to get me out of this hole. Understand that asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I am a very independent-minded person, but I am forced now to attempt to look for charity.
If you can find it in your heart to help me, please do, and know that every little bit is deeply appreciated. Otherwise, please at least share my campaign on social media so that it will be seen by more eyes.
UPDATE: My incredibly wonderful, amazingly generous parents have contributed outside of this so I have significantly reduced the goal amount accordingly. I am out of the woods and now just looking to stay that way, eliminate looming debts and gain enough savings to take an actual vacation someday…
There are a few others that have donated outside of this too… Notably I will say Vincenzo at Shade Bar, who is the most incredibly good person I’ve ever known. Thank you everyone who have thought of me in this troubled time…. Positive things happen to positive people!!
