Rakesh and I are raising funds. As many of you know, Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica with catastrophic force as a Category 5 storm, leaving a trail of destruction across the island. Among those deeply affected is Rakesh’s 85-year-old stepfather, who lives in St. Elizabeth. His entire roof was torn off, and the remaining structure suffered severe water damage, leaving the home uninhabitable.

Rakesh was born and raised in Jamaica and lived there until he was 15 years old. So many of his friends, neighbors, and family members have lost everything—homes, belongings, and sense of security. The community he grew up in is hurting, and they are now facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up.

We are raising funds to help Rakesh’s stepfather and others in the community repair their homes, replace essential belongings, and begin the long process of recovery. Any contribution—no matter the amount—will be a true blessing. Your support will go directly toward helping these families restore stability, safety, and hope.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers during this difficult time.
