Support Pat in His Battle Against Stage 4 Lung Cancer

Meet Patrick Glenn, also known as Pat, or better yet, “Ringo”. He is the proud husband to Cherie, and an even prouder father to Jessica, Paityn, and Christopher. He’s from a large, loving family where he has 2 brothers: Bill and Michael, and 3 sisters: Gina, Sonya, and Christal who are all convinced that they have the best brother out there. It goes without saying, but Pat means a lot, to a lot of people.

Pat is one of the kindest people around. He can fix, or repair anything and is called upon often to do just that. Pat does not meet a stranger, nor does he have enemies. He is genuine, kind-spirited, selfless, and is always willing to give a helping hand.

After several visits to his doctor in February of 2024, Pat initially thought that the onset of pain over his right rib cage was the result of a muscle sprain or strain. Then, in March, Pat was given the devastating diagnosis of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer that involved his ninth rib on the right side.

This type of lung cancer is known for spreading to other parts of the body by the time it’s initially diagnosed. Which is exactly what happened to Pat. After several tests and scans, Pat was told he had Stage 4, Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer. The prognosis WITH treatment, brings hope. The prognosis WITHOUT treatment, is unimaginable.

Pat was advised prior to his first treatment that insurance would only cover a fraction of the cost, leaving the rest to be paid out of pocket. It wasn’t long after that when Pat was no longer able to work, bringing an unexpected end to their family’s income. His treatment plan consists of a multifaceted approach utilizing intense radiation, and chemotherapy. Pat and Cherie have been determined to fight and have fought valiantly to this day.

Those of you who know Pat personally will not be surprised that throughout this journey so far, he has kept a positive outlook and a smile on his face. But now, he faces one of the toughest battles of his life. His extensive cancer treatments are not only physically and emotionally taxing but also come with overwhelming financial burdens.
