Joelle Ryssemus Margolin
12/8/1969 - 9/4/2024 - 54 yrs. young
Joelle opened her eyes on December 8th, 1969 in San Rafael, CA. After skipping merrily through the San Rafael school system, she graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA and then the University of San Francisco Law School with a JD. Joelle worked for various tech, non-profit, and financial institutions as a successful HR attorney. Throughout her life, she enjoyed her avocation of caring for numerous home and farm animals. She liked to experience the rich tapestry of life with her friends, from NASCAR races to Shakespeare festivals. She loved Lake Tahoe, her place in Idaho, various trips to France and Hawaii and just being near water calmed her and brought her peace. One of Joelle's most important things in her life was her son, Wyatt Sullivan (16yrs. Old). Being his mom and watching him grow into such an incredible young man was her greatest treasure. She lived out her dream by becoming a farm mom to cows, emus, alpacas, chickens and assortment of house pets at Ozland Farms in Lakeport, CA with her beloved husband, Jason. The last 5 years of her life she battled colon cancer. Feeling weak and tired, she always thought of her family and making the most of each and every day. Joelle always felt pretty pragmatic about her illness, as if it was her destiny and something she had to endure. She knew how much she was loved and was able to tell us how much she loved us at the end. She closed her eyes on September 4th, with her mom waiting for her with open arms. Now two angels up above. In remembrance of Joelle, a donation in her memory would have pleased her greatly.
