The Henderson Mill community has been devastated by the suspension of one of its most prized and respected educators, Dr. James O’Donnell (“Dr. OD”).   After 39 years of teaching excellence at DeKalb County’s Henderson Mill Elementary School, Dr. OD was abruptly suspended after a parent submitted a complaint to the media without working through the proper channels of resolution with Dr. OD and school administrators.  This is a horrible injustice so Dr. OD is fighting to get back on the job and help initiate policy changes that protect all DeKalb teachers.  

Dr. OD's legal fees are mounting.  Your financial support of his legal defense and living expenses should his paycheck stop would be greatly appreciated. 

Any funds remaining after the expenses are paid will be donated to nonprofits with missions aligned with the community's values and priorities.
