Hi, my name is Ashley, and I’m coming to you as a mother and family member whose heart is breaking.

We are raising funds to retain a custody attorney to help us fight DCS and bring our babies, back home where they belong — with the family who has loved and raised them as our own.

Our Story

Our Nephews have been part of our everyday lives since they were very young. They weren’t just “placed” with us — they became our children in every way that matters.

We were there for everything:

Doctor’s appointments

Therapy visits

School enrollment and meetings

Sports and extracurricular activities

Bedtime routines, holidays, birthdays — all the moments that make a childhood

We provided them stability, structure, safety, and unconditional love. Our home was their safe place — the place they knew as family.

Then our world was turned upside down.

Both children were removed from our home under false allegations, and from that moment forward, our lives — and theirs — changed overnight.

Despite our bond, our history of care, and our continued involvement in their lives, we have been forced to watch from the sidelines while decisions are made about their future.

We were even told at one point that our home would be reopened, giving us hope that they would return — only for that to be taken back, leaving us devastated all over again.

We have done everything we can on our own.

We’ve made calls.

Sent emails.

Filed complaints.

Advocated every way possible.

But the reality is — fighting DCS without legal representation is nearly impossible.

To move forward, we must retain a custody attorney immediately.

The retainer alone is $6000, and that is just the first step. This attorney will help us:

• File motions for placement review

• Fight for kinship placement

• Advocate for our nephews best interests in court

• Challenge decisions that have kept them from family

• Work toward bringing them back home where they are loved and known
