Cultural Exchange Program

Tax deductible
NMC's Cante´ Waste´ Youth Program is hoping to visit Mission, South Dakota, in May 2024 for a Youth Cultural Exchange Program. Mato Siyete, the South Dakota chapter of NMC will be passing on the history and beliefs of the Lakota Tribe by hosting drum-making workshops and sharing the songs of their people. We hope to continue this program in 2025 and invite the Mato Siyete Youth Program to visit Tucson and learn from the Tohono O'odham and Yaqui people. We aim to unify various tribes on Turtle Island, but first, we start at our core, our home.

Donating to an Indigenous nonprofit, like NMC, is a powerful way to support preserving and celebrating Indigenous culture and traditions. By contributing to NMC, donors can help improve the lives of Indigenous communities and promote social justice while preserving the natural environment and honoring the rich history of our peoples. Your donation can make a meaningful impact in empowering our communities to thrive and preserve their cultural heritage for future generations.
