Support my volunteer medical trip!

Hey everyone! My name is Amanda Kahn and I am a pre-med student at the University of Montana. I volunteered and was selected to participate in a 4-week trip to Uganda, Africa to volunteer at a local hospital this summer. The Global Grizzlies, which consists of ten pre-health students, including me, will help provide medical care to Ugandans and shadow the local doctors to explore different ways of healthcare. It is an opportunity to learn about a different healthcare system and culture vastly different from our own. It has always been a goal of mine to go to volunteer internationally and now it is becoming a reality!

Once I finish my pre-med courses, I plan on applying to medical school and becoming a trauma doctor one day. I would love to be able to serve under-served and developing communities as a physician and help those in need. I believe this trip will be the trip of a lifetime and a true motivator to achieve my dreams.

The funds generously donated will go towards:

-Application deposit
-Flight to Uganda
-4-week housing fee, which includes in-country transportation, 3 meals a day, local housing, and placement at a local hospital
-Vaccines/preventative measures
-Visa and travel insurance
