❤️ Help a Family Rebuild After a Devastating House Fire ❤️ I’m reaching out to ask for help for a family who is very near and dear to my heart and who, overnight, lost everything they had in a devastating house fire. This family of six includes an elderly couple, their daughter, and her three sons, ages 8, 11, and 13. Tragically, their daughter sustained burns and injuries during the fire and is now facing the difficult road of recovery while the entire family tries to process the unimaginable loss of their home and belongings. The Head of the Household is a decorated United States military veteran who has proudly served his country for decades, including courageously saving lives during 9/11, and participating in multiple world tours before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He has spent much of his life serving, protecting, and giving to others. And that spirit of giving doesn’t end with his military service. This is a proud, hardworking, giving family who has always been more comfortable helping others than asking for help themselves. Even in the midst of this tragedy, their first instinct was not to ask for donations or take resources away from another family who might need them. That is exactly why I decided to start this GoFundMe on their behalf. In a matter of hours, they lost the place they called home, their clothing, furniture, personal belongings, and so many of the everyday necessities we often take for granted. They are now faced with the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up while also dealing with injuries, medical needs, and the emotional trauma that comes with such a devastating loss. Right now, they need help with temporary housing, clothing, food, toiletries, transportation, medical-related expenses, and eventually securing a new place to call home. I know there are so many families and individuals who need help, and this family would be the first to tell you that they understand that. But sometimes the people who spend their lives giving to everyone else need someone to step in and give to them. If you are able to donate, no amount is too small. Every dollar will go directly to the family and help provide them with a little stability, comfort, and hope as they begin rebuilding. If you aren’t in a position to donate, we completely understand.
