Theatre is not just about the costumes or the details of putting on a show - but about the family that emerges from putting on that production.
Skye Dumoulin has been teaching these principles to children of all ages since 2001 at Skye's the Limit Performing Arts Studio (STL) and prior to that as a music teacher at St. Margaret Mary Church. Her contagious love and joy for all of her students has changed their lives in ways that can never truly be captured. She has also moved hundreds to tears when she sings for her congregation and elsewhere (Ave Maria - literal waterworks, every single time).
As she has taken care of so many in the past, it is now time for us to take care of her. For months, Skye's mother, another incredibly beautiful soul, has been fighting an incredibly difficult battle with Wegener's Disease. True to her character, Skye has been by her side every step of the way ensuring her mother receives the care she needs.
This fundraiser is designed to support Skye in what is surely an incredibly difficult time. These funds are meant for her to use in any way she needs, whether that is supporting the studio while she is focusing on her mother's care, supporting Skye's needs as she devotes her time to being with her mother, or even the inevitable mountain of medical bills. Donating any amount to this cause is simply an expression of your gratitude to the woman who has made an impact on you and your family.
