My name is Momin, a father from Gaza, born in the village of Bani Suhaila near Khan Yunis. I am the husband of Reham and the proud father of four beautiful children: Farah (15), Abdul Rahman (13), Al-Moatasem (11), and Talia (5).

Our lives were turned upside down when our home was destroyed during the occupation. My children narrowly escaped death multiple times and endured six months of unimaginable suffering in Gaza. For the past three years, I’ve been living alone in Europe, working tirelessly to secure residency and build a safe future for my family.

In April 2024, by the grace of God, I was able to get my children out of Gaza to Egypt, where they now live. I recently obtained Greek residency and submitted all the necessary documents for family reunification. We are now waiting for the interview and approval that will allow me to bring my children to safety in Greece.

While we wait, my children face daily challenges in Egypt—rent, food, medical care, and basic living expenses. I also suffer from chronic spinal disc issues that cause constant pain, numbness, and sleepless nights. Living alone with these health problems, separated from my family, is incredibly difficult.
