5 Sweet Kittens that Need Care Until Ready for Adoption

I have 5 kittens and a wonderful momma cat that will need quality food, vet visit, and essentials as they wean from their mother’s milk, while two of the kittens have already had emergency vet visits for separate health issues with likely future appointments.

They will be ready for adoption around late February when they will be at least 12 weeks old. (I am only giving them away in pairs or a single if the person adopting has another cat that will be good with a kitten. It’s crucial that young cats grow up with at least one other cat.)

Momma cat has been eating about 5-6 times her normal diet as she is nursing and healing from giving birth.

In November I took in a beautiful tuxedo cat named Midnight who was pregnant. Her original person was in a tough situation trying to balance care for her, several other cats, and an elderly dog. I already had a cat that really needed company as I was settling in moving from Washington, DC to Los Angeles, CA and was in the process of job hunting. When I heard that he might have to consider abortion the following week if no one could take her, I decided to bring her into my home. She gave birth December 6, 2024, and now we have 5 of the sweetest kittens that are soon weaning from nursing with a wonderful, but exhausted momma cat. It was truly an amazing and humbling experience to watch what mother cats go through from pregnancy to birth and to caring for their babies!

Unexpectedly, the LA fires happened. Me, momma cat, her 5 babies, and my cat, Stevie Ray, all had to evacuate being a mile and a half away from the Runyon Canyon fire, but fortunately were able to return back to our home. I will be out of work for some time, and struggling to make ends meet. Any amount donated would be incredibly helpful and received with much gratitude. These cats have brought me so much joy and peace during a challenging time, and truly want the best for each them!
