I have never done something like this so I don't know where to start. Our friends who live in Discovery Bay, Jamaica are in desperate need of help!! This family has been through it. Anyone who has been to the Jewel Paradise Cove Resort & Spa knows "The Omelette Man", Merric, he has a smile that shines and the type of personality that can put a smile on your face no matter how your morning/day is going. He has such a positive attitude and such a positive outlook on life. Merric is the type of guy that makes your breakfast and can actully make an impact on your whole stay! This is unfortunately his family and they need as much help as possible! As I got to know Merric over the years at the Jewel, we stayed in touch and we even got to know his family. His wife is a teacher who takes pride in her work with her students as well as her children. They have 3 beautiful children who are extremely intelligent. Their 2 older children win scholar Awards all the time and they basically speak better English than I do, lol! Their 4 year old is coming in strongly behind! He's definitely one to keep up with. During Hurricane Melissa their roof came off and down into their house, as you can see from the pictures. We are trying anyway possible to help them to get new beds, furniture, and whatever else they may need as pretty much everything was destroyed from the water. Also, in the area there is no running water, no electric, still floods, absolutely no resources at all! They're in a very rough situation and anything you could spare can help. Nothing is too small, anything can help, thank you for anything you can help with. May God Bless Everyone in Jamaica and You as well for your donation. Merric is the type that will help others if he receives more than he needs. So many people have been affected by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica. He is the type to help as many people as he could. He has other family he can assist, neighbors who are all pulling together to get through this tragedy as well as anyone else he sees may need anything. I pray we can help him and his family as much as he has helped us during our stays at the Jewel in Jamaica!!
