Help Mel Hammond get safe and sound.
I'm reaching out because our friend Mel needs our help right now.
Back in 2020, Mel suffered a series of concussions that nearly took his life. The results left him wheelchair-bound with peripheral neuropathy. Despite everything, he kept pressing on and made significant progress. He regained his cognitive abilities and his desire to be the conduit that he is, producing, inspiring, and imparting wisdom and experience for his growth and many, many others.
The Current Crisis:
Recently, Mel moved into an apartment. But, within the third day of being there, he was attacked by parasitic bugs and horsehair worms. It got so bad that he ended up in the hospital on July 30 with a bacterial infection, needing several IV antibiotics. The doctors told him it was good he came in when he did, or he could’ve lost his leg. As of today, he is in recovery but needs to have a safe and healthy wheelchair-accessible living environment.
Our Goal:
We need to raise $5,000 to help Mel through this stage so he can heal and get back to being the creative we all know and love.
Safe and accessible housing can be hard to find and expensive, and the situation is urgent.
