Support Matt Huttner's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
My brother, Matt Huttner, is one of the most kind, loving, and selfless people on this planet. He is always the first to offer help or listen when you're having a hard time. I can honestly say I can't think of a time that I have heard him speak poorly of anyone. Being my older brother, he has always been the one I look up to, my protector, and my very first best friend.
On April 19, 2025, Matt went to the ER in Waconia with stomach issues that had been bothering him for a few weeks. A CT scan confirmed a mass in his abdomen. The news was surprising and scary. In the following weeks Matt was seen at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and diagnosed with Stage 4 Duodenal Adenocarcinoma and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Matt was put on a very strict liquid diet as the tumor was too large to allow food to pass through his digestive tract.
By the end of May, the tumor in Matt's duodenum had completely blocked his ability to intake any liquids. Rushing back to the ER, at Mayo this time, Matt underwent a surgery to insert a stent to bypass the tumor and give him a chance to eat again, although with a very strict diet.
On June 15th (Father's Day) Matt became extremely jaundiced and weak. After another trip to the Waconia ER, he was sent to Mayo for another procedure that involved placing 3 more stents to open his bile duct.
The cost of cancer, hospital bills, hotel stays and travel costs for appointments, healthy foods and nutritional supplements, on top of the costs associated with being a type 1 diabetic are having a big financial impact of Matt and his family. He is the sole provider for his wife Alison and their beautiful 2 year old son Leonard. Matt is still trying to work full-time so that he can continue to provide like he has for his family he loves so much.
The money raised will go directly to Matt and his family. My hope is that he will be able to start properly caring for himself and not have to worry about going to work. I know the stress is taking a toll on him and his family. The money raised will also help until Alison can take over providing financially for their family.
I appreciate anyone who can help! There is no donation too small. If you are unable to contribute financially, I ask that you please share this page with everyone you know. Lastly, keep Matt in your thoughts and prayers. Let's all please send as much love and strength his way so he can fight!
