My family and I are raising emergency funds for Mary Blossom Ramirez Ureta—a devoted mother, sister, auntie, and a deeply nurturing soul.

Mary has been battling renal failure since 2021, alongside complex autoimmune conditions including Lupus and Hypokalemic Periodic Paralysis. Her journey has been long, painful, and filled with unimaginable challenges for both her and our family.

At the end of October, after waiting four long years, Mary finally received the life-changing call that a matching kidney donor had been found. Sadly, just two weeks later, she was rushed to the hospital after losing oxygen. That same night, doctors were forced to remove the transplanted kidney in an emergency surgery to save her life.

Today, Mary is recovering from two major surgeries and is once again in the difficult position of needing to heal, rebuild strength, and prepare to begin this transplant journey all over again. We are asking for support to help cover mounting housing (as we are currently at risk of eviction), medical, and daily living expenses as she continues to fight for her life.

At just 52 years old, my mom has survived the odds many times in four years. She is a miracle. She is selfless, funny, intelligent, and endlessly loving—always putting others before herself, even while she is struggling to heal. Not being able to provide for her family the way she once did has been incredibly hard on her. She used to work 12–15-hour shifts, five to six days a week, to give her children everything.

This holiday season, we are humbly asking for any support to help relieve the financial burden on our family. Every donation—no matter the size—helps give my mom the chance to focus on healing, recovery, and hope for the future.
