My name is mario, and I’m reaching out during the most difficult chapter of my life. On November 20, 2025, I lost my father after his 12-year battle with cancer. Just four days later, I was diagnosed with colon cancer. The shock of losing my dad and then facing my own diagnosis has left me reeling, and I haven’t had the chance to grieve or process everything that’s happened. The pain from my loss and the fear of what’s ahead have been overwhelming.

As I prepare for surgery, I’m scared about how I’ll manage to pay my bills and keep the home that my mom and I share. I know I won’t be able to work during treatment, and the medical bills are already more than I can handle, even with insurance. The financial stress is making it even harder to focus on healing and supporting my mom through our shared grief.
