My name is Rajarajan, a close relative of Maran's family, and I’m organizing this fundraiser to support Maran’s family.

Maran passed away early this morning (June 24) after a sudden and severe heart attack. He was in critical condition for 5 days but, sadly, couldn’t pull through.

Maran was the heart of his family—a kind, humble, and loving man who touched many lives. People in the Columbus, Ohio area knew him for his amazing cake creations that added joy to countless birthdays, weddings, and celebrations.

This tragic and unexpected event has completely shattered his family.

Alongside the overwhelming emotional grief, Maran’s wife is now left to face an incredibly difficult journey. She must cover medical bills, funeral and cremation expenses, and most importantly, raise their two young children alone—a 6-year-old son who is the special child needs special constant care, and a 1-year and 10-month-old baby. As a stay-at-home mother, she is now a suddenly single parent with no income, no savings, and the full weight of responsibility on her shoulders.

We are seeking $300,000 to help cover urgent needs including medical bills, funeral and cremation expenses, living, childcare, therapy, and special needs support, and legal or immigration-related costs if the family needs to return to India.
