Evangeline Baguiao—known to so many of us as Lynn, Mama Lynn, and Aunty Lynn—has been a second mother to my family for our whole lives. She has always shown up for us with love, strength and selflessness.

Now, for the first time, she is the one who needs us.

In the summer of 2025, Lynn was diagnosed with a fungal infection on her tongue. Despite ongoing treatment, her condition did not improve. Over the next five months, her health rapidly declined, eventually making it impossible for her to eat. She has lost about 40 pounds in less than 3 months.

By October, her condition had become devastating and has been hospitalized many times. Unfortunately, the healthcare system in the Philippines is very limited compared to what we have in the United States. While hospitalized, she was exposed to other illnesses and contracted pneumonia. Her condition continues to worsen, and she is now dependent on oxygen just to breathe.

This fundraiser is to help cover her medical expenses, hospital stay, oxygen support, and ongoing tests and treatments as she continues to fight for her life in the Philippines. Our greatest hope is to raise enough support to stabilize her condition so she can return to the United States and receive the quality medical care she needs.
