Tanya would like to share that Jim passed away peacefully at home Wednesday night. He was surrounded by his family and embraced with love as he passed from this life.
Thank you all for your love and support.
This beautiful family needs our support and help. With Jim as the main support of income, they will need help with medical bills, loss of work, treatment, hospital stays, ferry rides, groceries and much, much more. Let's lift this family up with financial help to get them through this heartbreaking time.

My dear, beautiful Jimmie, my soulmate, has been diagnosed with leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, which is a rare complication of cancer in which the disease spreads to the membranes (meninges) surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Based on his lymph node biopsy results, we know the primary cancer is somewhere in his upper GI tract area, and that it has spread to his lymph nodes, throughout his body, and to his leptomeninges.
He has an endoscopy booked for May 18th (Eva's birthday), to find the exact source of his primary cancer. Once the source is known, he can start targeted treatment.
Jim is in the BEST possible hands. We have the most wonderful caring team looking out for him. Thank you from our hearts for your incredible ongoing support, waiting for hours in the car, driving us all over town, picking up our sick and anxious children, spoiling us with wholesome foods, special treats, picking up groceries and meds, supplying a freezer, walking sweet Toby, taking care of our recycling, praying for miracles, meditation, poetry, supportive funds, LOVE, so much love, and most of all HOPE...
We'll need to cling to hope as we brave the road to come.
