We're Little Lion Theatre Company, a theatre collective dedicated to producing Canadian theatre in the UK. We are raising funds for our latest project: "We'll burn that bridge when we get to it: and I guess that's now"
Written by Nicola Lantheir-Rogers, "We'll burn that bridge" will be going up at the Lion and Unicorn Theatre in Kentish Town, London, from the 14th to 18th of October, 2025. By supporting our project, you'll be helping our company with marketing costs, rehearsal space, design elements, as well as the passionate artists involved on this production.
“We’ll burn that bridge when we get to it: and I guess that’s now” is about the end of everything, metaphorically. Or literally. Or both. At the end of their time together, and time itself, Tophe asks El to join him in throwing every last piece of the universe into a bonfire. El agrees – knowing this is the final chance for the two of them to work through their turbulent history.
This show marks the first full production collaboration with Canadian writer Nicola Lanthier-Rogers (Amours D’Occasion, CBC’s Ici Tou.TV) and Canadian director Kay Brattan (Mary’s Daughters, theSpaceUK, Edinburgh Fringe). The cast features Heather Jones (Faulty Towers: The Dining Experience, Interactive Theatre) and Stanley Eldridge (Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning, Paramount Pictures). With Set and Costume design by Valentina Turtur (Beneath the Family Tree, Riverside Studios).
"We'll burn that bridge when we get to it: and I guess that’s now" marks Little Lion Theatre Company’s long awaited return to the stage, and we couldn't be more thrilled to bring this bold, inventive work to London for the very first time. With a phenomenal cast and an exceptional creative team, this play offers a sharply funny, deeply poignant reflection on what it means to face the end—whenever it may come. It’s timely, resonant, and crackling with energy.
As a company, we feel that it’s the perfect time to bring this play to the stage. Right now the world feels like it’s burning; from genocide, to humans rights being revoked, from the cost of living crisis to crumbling access to resources - and that’s just the tip of the iceberg! It feels like suffering is inescapable and society is more divided than ever. We invite you to our bonfire to let go of what doesn’t serve you and explore what it means to be alive.
The money we raise will help cover production costs such as props, set, costumes, marketing, and rehearsal space. This is how we’re breaking this down:
£200 for design (set, props and costume)
£75 for Marketing (flyers, posters, and social media advertising)
£125 for Rehearsal Space (we’ve had space donated to us in kind, but need to pay for space for two days of rehearsal)
£100 for a theatre technician to help us on our tech day
If we are able to raise more then our target goal, then any money left over will go directly to the artists involved in this project for our profit share. This includes our actors, director, stage manager, designer, and producer.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at our page, and thank you so much for any support you can give.
