My name is Nemard Wilson, owner of Lil Jamaica Bar & Grill here in Green Bay, Wisconsin. 1332 S. Broadway Green Bay, WI 54304, Though I’ve made my home here for the past 10 years, my heart will always belong to Jamaica.

I’m reaching out to ask for your help for my family, friends, and community back home who have been devastated by the recent catastrophic hurricane. Many have lost their homes, electricity, and access to basic needs. It’s been two days since I’ve heard from my son’s mother, and like so many others, I’m praying for their safety and strength.

While larger organizations will be raising money, I know from experience how slowly those funds can reach the people who need help right now — and how little sometimes ends up in their hands. That’s why I’ve created this GoFundMe through Lil Jamaica, to make sure your donations go directly to those in need without delay.

The Lil Jamaica Hurricane Relief Fund will focus on helping children and elderly residents in the Westmoreland, Negril, and surrounding areas — especially those who are unable to move around or access basic supplies.

Funds will be used to purchase non-perishable food items, bottled water, hygiene products, and other essentials through trusted local contacts in Jamaica, ensuring that aid reaches people immediately and directly.

As part of our promise to stay transparent, Lil Jamaica will post updates here and on our social media pages (reaching over 10,000 followers) so supporters can see exactly how their donations are being used and who they’re helping.

In moments like this, we’re reminded of how much Jamaica has given to the world — through our food, our music, and our spirit of love and unity. Now it’s our turn to give back.
