Hi, I’m Taressa Lumpkin Williams, Executive Director of Blessings Working Together, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to empowering and supporting pregnant teens, young mothers, and families facing homelessness across Metro Atlanta.
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been awarded a partial scholarship to attend the prestigious Georgia Black Doula Network (GBDN) Community Doula Training Program! This program equips leaders like myself with the knowledge and skills to provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed birth support to vulnerable families.
The scholarship reduced my training fee to $2,000 and I must raise the full amount by September 1, 2025 to secure my spot.
With your help, I can complete this professional certification and bring essential doula services and maternal health advocacy directly to the mothers we serve at BWT. This investment will allow me to:
- Provide emotional, physical, and informational support during labor
- Educate young mothers about lactation, infant care, and wellness
- Become certified in trauma-informed care and CPR
- Deepen the wraparound services BWT offers to moms at risk for homelessness
Please help me raise the $2,000 needed by donating today. Every dollar gets me closer to being able to bring healing, dignity, and advocacy to families who need it most.
Support this mission to protect two generations—young parents and their babies.
If you can’t give, sharing this campaign means the world to me.
With gratitude,
Taressa Lumpkin Williams
