Support Korn Kitties' Vet Bills (TNR)

The kitties of the Korn parking lot -- Sissy, Salt, and Handsome have been safely caught and will be spayed at Spears Creek Veterinary Clinic in Elgin, today (Thursday, March 6th). Once I pick them up that afternoon, they'll be recovering safely in the home of a temporary foster near me. We'll keep a good watch over them and make sure they heal well before releasing back to their home behind the parking lot.

While it still wasn't the cheapest option, all other vets contacted were three times the price. And since two of our kitty girls are pregnant already, we can't wait months for city and county clinic appointments. Plus, it's still cheaper and easier than getting 10+ cats fixed later on.

I will share the final itemized vet bills here and keep everyone posted on their recovery. Any donation amount helps and is greatly appreciated. Please share with anyone who might be willing and able to help out.

The estimate so far is:

$200 spay

$18 rabies vaccination

$10 ear clip

-$30 discount

Total $198 per female cat.

Pregnancy termination fee is an additional $100.

Sissy = $298

Salt = $198

Handsome = $113 (boys are cheaper, yay!)

Today, I'm looking at a total of $609. I will try to catch Pepper (also pregnant) this weekend. That would be an extra $298.

Thanks to everyone who has cared for and loved these sweet kitties. Also a special shoutout again to Hadley and Amy for their cat wrangling abilities (not without some battle wounds). Salt was definitely salty about being caught.
