Support Kim S. in Her Battle Against Cancer
Spende geschützt
My name is Kim Scott.
I was diagnosed with breast/lymph node cancer on October 17, 2024. The worst day.
It was a big shock. I’m scared.
It was diagnosed through a yearly mammogram.
I always did self-exams.
Never felt anything.
The oncologist told us this is such a fast-growing cancer, probably only started 3-6 months ago.
One of the criteria for staging is how UGLY the tumors are.
She said they were very ugly.
This cancer is called:
Triple negative,
Invasive ductal carcinoma.
Stage 2-3.
It’s a very, very aggressive growing cancer.
So far I’ve had 6 rounds of chemo.
12 weeks every Tuesday.
After that, I have to start three different chemo drugs. These next chemo drugs are so strong you can only have 1 every three weeks X four.
They call it the RED DEVIL.
So altogether 6 months of chemo.
My husband and I are retired, living on Social Security.
The insurance does not cover a lot of things.
My husband is my caretaker,
He takes such good care of me.
and a registered nurse.
I’m afraid he will have to go back to work and not be able to care for me.
Everything that you possibly heard about cancer's side effects is so very true.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
