Keenan Seamer, my dear friend, recently faced a series of unexpected and serious health challenges. On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, Keenan underwent surgery for partial colon removal due to diverticulitis. Just a few days later, he was rushed back in for emergency surgery after complications arose. He is currently hospitalized in Iowa City and, while he was moved out of the ICU yesterday, he still has a long and difficult road ahead. Keenan will need extensive physical and occupational therapy, and his ability to return to work remains uncertain at this time.
Throughout this ordeal, Keenan has shown incredible strength and resilience, but the journey is far from over. The mounting medical bills, ongoing therapy, and everyday living expenses are creating a significant financial burden for Keenan and his wife, Laurel. As friends and a community, we have the opportunity to come together and help ease some of this stress so Keenan can focus on healing and recovery.
Your support, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser, will make a meaningful difference in Keenan’s life. Every bit of help brings hope and relief to Keenan and Laurel during this challenging time. Thank you for any support you can provide to this wonderful couple as they navigate the road to recovery.
