Hello everyone,

Some of you may not know, but recently Keegan has been incarcerated under what we believe to be a violation of his first amendment rights. Anyone who has come to know Keegan understands that he, like many of us, is frustrated with the current socio-political paradigm and has not been shy about voicing his concerns on the direction we are heading as a nation and as a people.

To make a long story short, he had made several contentious posts on social media regarding current affairs with ICE which drew the ire of the sheriff’s department. They arrested him on the grounds of making threats towards government officials (ICE).

Again, anyone who knows Keegan, knows that he talks openly about his disdain for the current policies, but he is hardly an insurrectionist, domestic terrorist, or anything even remotely close to what they are painting him to be. He is not the villain here for speaking out against the obvious injustices that are plaguing this country. His constitutional rights afford him the ability to say whatever he wants, despite how disagreeable it may be. That is the beauty of the first amendment.

As it stands, he is currently being held while we are waiting for the arraignment and (hopefully) a bond posting, while the prosecution determines how far they are willing to take this. Unfortunately, these things take time, and the lawyer fees are starting to pile up. Were the situation any different, we would not be asking for help. These are trying times and any help we can get to help cover the costs of the legal defense will be tremendously appreciated.
