Aloha and Salam I'm Jewelyn from Hawaii, host/organizer for Karim's fundraiser. Here's a photo of us reunited, taken in Egypt 2024 after Karim came out of Gaza safely.
Karim Azzam is a creative artist, youth mentor/coach, parkour athlete and break dancer from the Gaza Strip. This fundraiser will support Azzam to continue his journey in life as an independent Palestinian artist after graduation and help him reach his future goals.
Karim has dedicated his life to mentor and coach children in the Gaza Strip for over 10+ years and has lived through 6 "wars".
While in university over the past years he continued to travel back to Gaza every summer to mentor and coach children.
After traveling to Gaza in Summer 2023 to support the youth, he was unable to travel back to Egypt for university, and continued to coach while his neighborhood was under attack getting bombed.
Azzam is currently in Egypt continuing his studies at university despite missing exams after surviving 83 days in the current gen0cide. He is in the process of making up missed exams this summer, followed by graduation. He needs support to finish university (Fees for tuition, exams, graduation).
I will be transferring/handling all funds raised directly myself in person.
Azzam is a perfect example of Palestinian resistance!
