JULY 2025 UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who has supported Jordon and Lauren this past year. It’s been a journey and continues with many challenges ahead - but everyone’s support, both financially and through good wishes and prayers, has kept all spirits high even amidst the many ups and downs. Jordon has recently been able to enjoy some of his favorite foods and take in some summer sunshine with his token smile and strong spirit, things that the past 13 months have all been building toward.
As we enter the next phase of Jordon’s recovery, we are extending our goal and hoping you can support further and continue to spread the word to others. Jordon is doing great in rehab and is working toward a release to home very shortly which is incredible news! However, with this big transition comes many continued expenses in creating an environment conducive to his care and quality of life (Lauren’s too!). There are ongoing medication and therapy costs in addition to hard costs like retrofitting their home, a travel wheelchair that tilts, caregiving services when Lauren is at work, and a wheelchair accessible van to transport Jordon to his twice weekly dialysis treatments amongst many many other expenses.
We will continue to keep everyone updated and appreciate your support in every way. Also, if anyone has knowledge or information on any grants or resources to assist with this next phase in Jordon’s journey that is also greatly needed. Thank you all again and let’s keep the momentum and pathway forward for Jordon and Lauren going strong! Hi all, as you may know, Jordon Jones - friend to all and devoted husband to Lauren - was in a serious car accident on the evening of June 18. Though lucky and resilient to survive, Jordon has suffered burns on over 30% of his body and the recovery road forward will be a long one, with surgeries, burn treatments, and many months of pain and perseverance.
We all know and love Jordon as someone with a joy for life. Someone who can strike up a conversation with anyone about virtually anything. Someone who is passionate about everything he is involved with - from martial arts, to the paranormal, to being an ally for mental and physical health for all genders and affiliations, to recently reigniting a love of the Orioles, and most importantly, as an impossibly stalwart advocate for his wife Lauren, his family, and all of his friends.
Jordon has medical leave support through his employer, and emotional support from family, but we are hoping we can rely on his network of friends for some financial support as he and Lauren navigate a dramatic change in their work and life balance and many medical and personal expenses that will accrue over his period of recovery.
The money raised will be given directly to Jordon and Lauren as they work to ensure a long, healthy, and happy future together. We encourage you to share your positive vibes, share your friendship stories, and if you can, share your wallets, to support Jordon and Lauren through this journey of recovery. Thank you all!!
