Support John's Brave Medical Journey
John is the sweetest kid. He deserves to be healthy and the family deserves answers. Here's John's journey so far, in Lacey's words:
It's no secret that our sweet little Bubb (John) has spent nearly the entirety of his short 7 years of life, ill in some capacity. From being born with a rare, genetic form of hearing loss to three bouts of pneumonia (and hospitalizations) before he was a year old; to consistent, intermittent fevers and an immune system that lacks the ability to create good antibodies to fight the bad antibodies, not to mention a diagnosis of chronic pediatric migraines at age two, our sweet boy has been a BRAVE + STRONG chronic upper respiratory & asthma warrior! His team of specialists at the University of Michigan have worked diligently these last seven years to find and figure out the root cause of his illness- that one diagnosis that transparently checks ALL of those boxes as questions answered, without much headway. Now, with the support of his 9-person specialist team at UofM, we have secured appointments for John at both the Mayo Clinic AND the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital- both in pediatric Pulmonology and Rheumatology. While John IS covered by insurance for his appointments, there will most certainly be the cost of travel, food, lodging and additional medical expenses incurred while we navigate additional testing and prolonged visits. Due to Marc's job being our only income, this will also help to ensure that he is able to be a part of visits and testing when necessary without the burden of missing out on pay when he takes time off.
If you are unable to donate, we understand and simply ask that you lift (and continue to do so!) John (and Marc, Lacey & Cole) up in prayer during this portion of John's medical journey! We appreciate each and every one of you whom donate, lift us up in prayer, check in on us and continue to love and support us in SO many capacities, from near and far!
With love & immense gratitude,
The VanCleave Family
(Marc, Lacey, Cole & John)
