Support Jessica Boccanfuso: A Young Mother’s Fight Against Stage 4 Cancer
Hello, my name is Jessica Boccanfuso. I’m 35 years old, a proud first-generation American, and a devoted mother. My family immigrated from Ischia, Italy in pursuit of the American dream—a dream I’ve worked hard to honor every day.
Fourteen years ago, I met the love of my life, and we were married on August 30, 2023. Together, we’re raising our beautiful seven-year-old daughter, Monica. I’m also blessed to be a stepmother to two incredible girls, Brielle (17) and Emma (13). Our blended family is my greatest joy and the center of my world.
On September 19, 2025, our lives changed forever. After a biopsy, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Just days later, I was rushed to the emergency room in unbearable pain. Doctors discovered that the cancer had aggressively spread throughout my body. I was diagnosed with terminal Stage 4 breast cancer.
My treatment plan includes chemotherapy, radiation, hormone therapy, and surgery. It’s a daunting road ahead, but I’m determined to fight with everything I have—for my children, my husband, and the life we’ve built together.
My husband, who started a new job less than a year ago, has become my full-time caregiver. Unfortunately, he’s unable to continue working while caring for me, and due to current laws, he doesn’t qualify for caregiver benefits. While I’m receiving temporary FMLA support, our household was already struggling to make ends meet with two full-time incomes. Now, with mounting medical bills and reduced income, we’re facing an overwhelming financial crisis.
As someone who’s always been hesitant to ask for help, this is incredibly difficult. But with the encouragement of my family and friends, I’ve created this GoFundMe to ask for support during the most challenging time of our lives.
Every donation will go directly toward medical treatments, household expenses, and ensuring our children have the stability they need. My parents came to this country to give me a better life. Now, I’m fighting to do the same for my children.
Thank you for reading our story. Thank you for your compassion. And thank you for standing with us in this fight.
With love and gratitude, Jessica Boccanfuso
