Hi, my name is Kris and I'm trying to raise funds to pay for my husband, Jack's medical expenses. He is a truck driver and I'm disabled and unable to work a conventional job. We have been together for 28 years (half our lifetime!), and last month he was diagnosed with cancer. He had surgery a couple of days ago at the local VA hospital, but they couldn't remove all the cancer, which will result in lengthy and expensive treatments as well as time he will have to take off work.

His insurance covers only so much, and he only has a few more vacation days left that he can use. Healing and treatment are going to take working days away from him as well, and we just need the help to stay afloat and keep our apartment.
